Propoxyphen ( darvon,Darvocet) , a pain killer, was withdrawn from markets in USA now.It was determined after 50 yrs of usage that it causes serious or fatal abnormalities.It sounds like closing the barn door after the horse was stolen. Twenty five years ago ,it was the most popular pain killer like vicodin now. People used to abuse the drug like vicodin. Pharmacies used to stock big bottles and used to move like Valium at that time.Now Doctors rarely write Propoxyphen and drug abusers moved on to other drugs.Now it was withdrwan.
